Introduction

Motorola Razr 2024 is an interesting inclusion in foldable smartphones, mixing a little retro with modern technology. This version of the iconic Razr retains the signature clamshell design that had made its predecessors so famous, while it integrates essential upgrades to further improve the user experience. More than being the next in line, Motorola Razr 2024 is a well-thought-of evolution in a bid to address the criticisms of the past time and move toward embracing today’s demands.

First off, Motorola Razr 2024 certainly looks great and is crafted from premium materials: a refined metal frame and vegan leather finishes are fitting for the environmentally conscious consumer. The external display has grown to 3.6 inches and is now a fully functional interface that supports a number of apps and widgets, making it more useful than ever. This bigger cover screen allows the users to interact with notifications and messages, or even applications, without having to actually open the device, thereby increasing day-to-day convenience.

Inside, Motorola Razr 2024 comes with a 6.9-inch pOLED display featuring a 2640 x 1080 resolution and up to 3000 nits of peak brightness for crisp detail and clarity in content viewed on it. The refresh rate goes dynamically up to 120Hz to make scrolling and response smooth; thus, ideal for gaming and media consumption. This is one important aspect in the display quality that users will look at in a gadget.

Under the hood, Motorola Razr 2024 gets a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM. Yes, that feels like a downgrade over preceding Snapdragon processors in older foldables, but initial tests demonstrate it is strong enough to easily power everyday use and some gaming. It seems pretty smooth and works perfectly with heavy apps; as such, this device would answer both basic and gamer user needs.

However, with all these improvements made, the camera system has had different reception among different people. The rear facing camera is a 50MP sensor with a second 13MP ultrawide lens and the front selfie cam is 32MP. On the surface, for anyone interested in photography this all looks very exciting; actual usage of them however has been deemed unreliable. There are reports of lag during operation and overprocessing in images, which actually takes away from the photography experience.

Of course, there are places where Motorola Razr 2024 doesn’t quite live up to expectations. For photography-minded users, some real performance issues with the camera stand out as notable negatives. The external display is way better than before, but it still may be less useful than what’s available from some competitors.
