Introduction

Apple iPhone Duo is a new departure from the familiar slab like iPhone and introduces the foldable design in the Apple lineup. Closed, it can show a 5.4-inch Super Retina XDR display in a terminal-size enclosures, but opened, it can provide a much larger display for reading, gaming, watching videos, and multitasking with a 7.6-inch folding OLED screen. Both displays feature ProMotion refresh rates up to 120Hz, Always-On display, HDR, and outdoor peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The inner panel has a nano-textured finish to minimize reflections and create less of a crease.

The device is powered by Apple's A20 Pro chip, a six-core CPU, seven-core GPU, and the dual 16-core Neural Engine. According to Apple, the custom vapor chamber and dual-battery design keeps the device performing even on pressure tests and provides all day battery life. Precision hinge and the titanium frame are designed to make this thin folding design feels solid, while the phone is splash, water resistant and dust resistant under controlled test conditions.

The iPhone Duo comes packed with serious camera power: a 48-megapixel Fusion Main camera with optical-quality 2x telephoto, a 48-megapixel Fusion Ultra Wide, and a 12-megapixel Center Stage camera on the outside. It’s foldable, which opens up some cool features. Duo Preview lets people see how they’re framed right on the external screen, and Smart Take uses built-in AI to snap photos at just the right moment. With iOS 27, the Duo’s bigger display gets handy touches like split-screen multitasking and paired apps. You also get Apple Intelligence and a beta version of Siri AI for smarter, more helpful suggestions.

You can pick up the iPhone Duo in Star White or Night Sky, starting at $1,999 for the 256GB version. If you need more space, it goes all the way up to 2TB. It’s definitely a high-end device, aimed at folks who want a big screen that still fits in their pocket. Still, the price, heft, and its folding design make it stand out—not really a straight-up replacement for every iPhone out there yet.
