Introduction

If as prior generations of Xiaomi flagship products, the Xiaomi 17 Pro is bound to be one of those high-end market models that shows off the best hardware configuration and new features. It is a representative product, for Xiaomi to rid itself of the "cost-effective" label, and challenge high-end brands.

Performance is a real standout, led by the 5th Gen Snapdragon 8 Ultimate processor Qualcomm's sent to market first using TSMC's 3nm production process. Featuring 2x4.6GHz super cores and 6x3.62GHz main frequency performance cores, the single-core performance is 20% higher than the previous generation. It is coupled with 12GB, 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB-1TB UFS 4.1 storage for hassle-free performance. A 4.637mm² vapor chamber and self-developed HyperCore kernel for efficient heat reduction.

The camera setup consists of a 50MP main sensor with Leica Summilux f/1.67 lens and OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and a 50MP front shooter. It is powered by a 6300mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging, and it also supports up to 50W Wireless Fast Charging, the phone's Surge G2 chip has an AC+DC dual structure design that retains more than 80% capacity even after overcharging and discharging through approximately 2000 cycles.
