The Motorola Edge 60 has the look and feel of a premium phone with a solid build and high-end design cues of a flagship smartphone. It all starts with the phone's 6.67-inch pOLED display and its 120Hz refresh rate and up to 4,500 nits peak brightness and HDR10+ support that deliver amazing colors and smooth visuals whether you're scrolling through your social media timeline or watching HD videos. The dual-curved edges are a nice touch, though some could argue that the plastic frame is a step down from the metal-covered competition.

The Edge 60 runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300, a strong mid-range CPU that can keep the device up and running as you drive through your daily tasks. It might not be the quote-unquote most powerful when it comes to raw specs, but for your daily everything, multitasking, casual gaming, consuming media like YouTube and Twilight rendered in 4K etc. Up to 12GB RAM, with virtual RAM expansion, and UFS 4.0 storage not only leads to snappier app launches and switching, but also allows for more effective background app management. But, hardcore game players may experience some frame drops when playing graphically intense games, as the Mali-G615 GPU is not meant for heavy gaming.

That IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD-810H certification is one of the highlights of the Edge 60, and brings top-tier durability to a mid-ranger. Whether you're in the rain or you drop your phone, the rugged build absorbs potential damage in the face of harsh usage — something you won't find at this price. There's a 5200mAh battery for all-day usage (you will be able to deadlift it through a day of heavy usage with no trouble) with 68W fast-charging that can take it from empty to full in well under 40 minutes (virtual high fives for those lazy Sunday morning dashes to work). What's a slight pity is no wireless charging.

Photography is another highlight, with the phones' triple-camera system, co-engineered with Pantone, enabling realistic skin tones. There is a 50MP main sensor (Sony LYT-700C) which takes nice shots in daytime that are sharp and balanced and also a 10MP 3x telephoto with decent amount of zoom. The 50MP ultra-wide doubles as a macro shooter and while low-light is merely alright compared to its higher-end rivals. Far smaller numbers, for sure, but this translates to every bit as sharp selfies – a good thing for social media addicts.

The Edge 60 is equipped with Android 15 along with Motorola's Hello UI, providing a clean, nearly stock experience with smart AI features such as notification summaries and photo analysis. However, there are some minor bugs that we can note here such as lock-screen personalization error, correct volume steps and Motorola should fix these in the coming updates.

Overall, the Motorola Edge 60 is a solid mid-ranger that excels in the display quality, durability, and battery life. It's not quite in the same performance and shooting league as a flagship, but its IP68/IP69 rated S41 is boated all right anyway, Pantone-tuned screened, stylish handsome and has one of the best batteries in its class. If toughness and premium feel are your priority about power, the Edge 60 is a good pick, especially at a low, low price.
