Review

HTC U23 Pro: Full glass, front and back, with aluminum frame – totally flagship, you know, not at all even approaching the realm of mid-range, which obviously shows in how it feels in the hand. This comes in a ton of different colors to match your personal style. The smartphone is equipped with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of Full HD+. The media consumption, in general, is good and the screen is great with good color accuracy and deep blacks. Touch is buttery smooth as are scrolling and interactions, providing a much better experience overall, and at a 120Hz refresh rate.

Running the show on the HTC U23 Pro is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset with 8GB of RAM. Also suitable for general computing job, you can also utilize it for multitasking and additionally a lightweight gambling also using this combo if you're interested. Not as powerful as flagship applications, but it handles most apps and even some games seamlessly. The phone is powered by Android 13 with HTC's custom skin on top. It is nice and bloatware-free, and the software is feature-rich but clean. HTC has added a few features of its own, such as advanced audio settings (which the company has based on its BOOMSound) and a dedicated gaming mode to further improve performance and power consumption while you’re in the middle of a game.

On the backside of the HTC U23 Pro, you will find a quad-camera setup to put your shots on paper. It includes 24MP + 13MP +8MP + 2MP camera lenses. Overall, the camera is pretty good for the package and clicks detailed and lively photos regardless of where you are taken. Both the ultra-wide and macro lenses do produce a fair amount of detail in macro shots, and the portrait shots come out good. On the front side, it has a 32MP selfie camera producing decent and clear selfies. Video recording can be done up to 4K, which is excellent for the vloggers and social media content creators. Its 4,600mAh battery lasts all-day with regular use. Fortunately, 30W fast charging is supported. It recharges quickly when it runs out of juice. It also supports wireless charging, although for this range, you do not find too many phones with this feature. A 5G network is supported, so the phone is prepared for whatever is coming. There’s also Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC in the onboard section. It has an under-display fingerprint scanner to ensure easy and secure accessibility. Last but not least is a somewhat feeble 3.5mm headphone jack, which is becoming increasingly rare on the latest smartphones.

Whether it is beautiful body, performance or the specifications of the body, HTC U23 Pro is a complete package. It’s a solid mid-range device, offering a bright screen, decent camera system and good battery life. It’s not nearly as powerful as higher-end devices, but it’s a steal at this price and a reliable workhorse for day-to-day tasks. So if you are a casual user or a hardcore tech junkie this HTC U23 Pro is your consideration.
