Introduction

Introduced in June 2025, HUAWEI Pura 80 Pro is a high-end smartphone that focuses on users who put it all in a phone including great specs and camera capabilities. It flaunts a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 2848 x 1276 pixels, an adaptive refresh rate between 1-120Hz and a peak luminance at 3,000 nits for smooth visuals and good outdoor visibility. The screen is covered with the second-generation Kunlun Glass, which according to HUAWEI is 20 times stronger than regular glass. The phone is fueled with HiSilicon Kirin 9020 chipset based on 7 nm process technology, Octa-core processor and Maleoon 920 GPU. It has 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB internal storage, running on HarmonyOS 5.1 (EMUI 15 in some regions).

The camera system is also one of the highlights. The rear consists of a 50 MP, f/1.6 – f/4.0, OIS Ultra Lightning main sensor and a 40 MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 48 MP macro telephoto lens with up to 4x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. There's a13MP camera on front of the phone which is made for taking quality selfies and video calling. It can record 4K HDR videos as well with gyro-EIS and OIS in place for stable footage.

The Pura 80 Pro is driven by a 5,170 mAh battery that can be SuperCharged at up to 100 W via wired connection or wirelessly at options of up to 80 W for quick top-ups. The phone also supports IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC. With all flagship features in one device, the HUAWEI nova 7 does not offer 5G connectivity in some markets and there is no support for Google Mobile Services. Although it has some drawbacks and shortcomings, in a word, it is still a phone deserves buying.
