Introduction

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is the foldable phone to beat with a pioneering, light and ultra-thin design that sets it apart from the field. At 8.9mm when folded and an impressively slim 4.2mm unfolded, it is one of the slimmest, lightest large-screen foldables on the market coming in at just 215 grams. That’s even lighter than Samsung’s own traditional flagship, the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

 

The screens on the phone are larger than its predecessor. The cover screen is now a very usable 6.5-inch panel with an aspect ratio of 21:9, it’s still anything but a traditional smartphone experience. When open, the inside screen looks amazing and makes everything you do epic. With 11% more viewing area, so much easier multitasking, the inside screen delivers an immersive experience, while the large cover display lets you browse even more. Both screens are Dynamic AMOLED 2X, with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2600 nits offering great outdoor readability.

 

At the heart of it all, is the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor – a supercharged, high-frequency processor that offers top performance no matter if you’re doing everyday tasks or playing graphically demanding games. It’s powered by One UI 8 on top of Android 16, which is designed for the foldable form factor and have boosted AI capabilities including an upgraded Bixby, Audio Eraser and productivity tools such as a meeting assistant that creates live captions and transcriptions.

 

The camera system will also see a substantial upgrade with a brand new 200MP primary sensor on board, along with an 12MP ultra-wide and a 10MP telephoto lens offering up to 3x optical zoom. A 4400mAh battery keeps the lights on the device supports 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. The phone also supports IP48 rated dust and water resistance, equipped with an upgraded armor aluminum framework for further increase its durability.a
